Two Decades of Fire Safety Testing
FTRL was founded in 2006 to address the need for professional fire equipment testing services in India. At that time, manufacturers faced limited options for third-party testing, often relying on foreign laboratories or in-house facilities that lacked independent accreditation.
From our founding, we committed to international quality standards and pursued ISO 17025 accreditation — becoming India's first accredited fire testing laboratory. This established a foundation of technical competence and quality management that continues to guide our operations today.
Over the years, we have expanded our capabilities across equipment types and testing standards while maintaining rigorous quality controls. Our investment in facility infrastructure, instrumentation, and staff development has enabled us to support increasingly complex testing programs and emerging technologies.
Today, FTRL serves clients across India and international markets, testing to Indian, European, North American, and international standards. We maintain our commitment to quality, transparency, and technical excellence that defined our founding principles.

ISO 17025 Accreditation
Our accreditation confirms technical competence, impartiality, and consistent operation under internationally recognized quality management standards. Accredited laboratories undergo rigorous assessment of personnel qualification, equipment calibration, testing procedures, quality controls, and report documentation.
- NABL Accreditation
- FTRL holds ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). NABL is India’s premier accreditation body, recognized under the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangement. This accreditation confirms our technical competence, impartiality, and consistent operation under internationally recognized quality management standards.

Our 3-Acre Testing Facility
FTRL's 3-acre facility at Sonipat, Haryana houses comprehensive testing infrastructure — including indoor and outdoor fire test areas, hydraulic testing bays, suppression system rigs, equipment workshops, and specialized indoor laboratories. The facility is purpose-built for fire safety testing across the full range of equipment categories and international standards.
Expertise and Experience
FTRL's technical team combines expertise in fire safety engineering, testing methodology, and quality management. Our staff includes qualified engineers, experienced technicians, and quality professionals — all trained in ISO 17025 requirements and specific testing procedures.
Laboratory management and technical leadership bring decades of experience including direct involvement in Indian and international standards development, participation in BIS technical committees, and contributions to industry training programs and professional development.
All testing personnel are qualified through education, training, and demonstrated competence. We maintain staff competence through continuous training programs including internal and external workshops, attendance at technical conferences, cross-training across disciplines, and quality management system training.
