What is the Procedure for testing of Products at FTRL?

a) Your enquiry could be sent to
(Please provide following details with your enquiry)

  • Name, address & telephone nos. of your company & contact person.
  • Details/type of product to be tested with complete specification, pictures/brochures or any other relevant information.
  • Reference Standard/ testing method.

b) On receipt of your enquiry, FTRL will send its quotation/charges, along with a declaration form.
c) Clients to accept our quotation along with the following documents/details;

  • Acceptance letter .
  • Payment as per our quotation.
  • Duly filled in declaration form.

d) Thereafter you’ll be advised by FTRL regarding required number(s)/quantity of samples required for testing.

How much time will it take for testing of my delivered products?

Time required for complete testing depends on reference standard and shall be mentioned in our quotation.

How much time will it take in issuing test report and from where should I collect the test report.

Testing of samples, completion of testing & issue of test report depends on reference standard & will be mentioned in our quotation.

Is your test report accepted in different government, public & private sectors in India and around the globe.

Yes. “FTRL” being recognised by Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS) and accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories (NABL), our test reports are accepted in government, public and private sectors in India and also accepted across the globe.

Can I use FTRL logo or test report for advertisement or for product publicity?


When can I take back my remnant samples?

You can collect your remnant samples after completion of 90 days from date of issue of test report or as mentioned in covering letter of test report.

What if my sample/ product fails in test(s)?

You may resubmit your samples/ products after making necessary improvements.

Is Fire Test & Research Laboratory [FTRL] accredited?

Yes. “FTRL” is India’s 1st Fire Test Lab which is accredited as per the requirements of International Standard ISO / IEC: 17025 – 2005.. General Requirements for the competency of Testing and Calibration Laboratories through achieving accreditation from National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories (NABL), Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and from National Standards making body – Bureau of India Standards (BIS).
